The 27th IFPR Asia-Pacific Region Board Meeting took place on November 11th, 2024 during the APIEMS (Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society) Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The 4th edition of the ICPR-AEM Regional Conference took place in Poznan, Poland, from the 28th of June to the 3rd of July 2024 and included keynote presentations, over 50 scientific papers, a regional IFPR-AEM board meeting and a Doctoral Workshop for PhD students. The next edition will take place in Newcastle, UK in 2026.
A 3 day International PhD & New Faculty Colloquium was held from Jan 29th, 2024 at the Indian Institute of Management (Mumbai). The event was coordinated by Fulbright-Nehru scholar, Bopaya Bidanda (Ernest Roth Professor of Engineering – University of Pittsburgh) and Manoj Tiwari (Director, IIM Mumbai), and cosponsored by the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers. Over 15 internationally renowned speakers gave talks from Singapore, Romania, The Philippines, Taiwan, India, and the United States. 86 PhD scholars and New Faculty members from 22 different institutions across the length and breadth of India and Sri Lanka attended - from IIM Guwahati to IIM Ahmedabad, from IIT Jammu to The University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka). The Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishanker spoke to the faculty and participants of the Colloquium on Day 2, when he visited IIM (Mumbai).
